Pre-Professional Program in Law

As a lawyer, you’ll be empowered to use your legal knowledge, skills and position to help others in a multitude of ways. 91´«Ã½ is the perfect place to start your pre-law journey. Open to students in any major, our program will prepare you to be a competitive candidate for law school.
In the classroom
The 91´«Ã½ pre-law program will supplement your undergraduate studies with specialized courses designed to prepare you for law school entrance exams.
You’ll thrive in 91´«Ã½’s small classes with dedicated faculty mentors and strong relationships with peers. You will develop the skills to make a lasting impact on those you serve. And, through 91´«Ã½’s 8 Abilities and 91´«Ã½’s social-justice focused values, you will develop a strong ethical and moral code, and you’ll practice the ability to adapt to your circumstances.
In addition to receiving personalized advising from a faculty member within your major, you’ll be assigned a pre-law advisor who will provide you with support and help guide you through the law school admission process.
Beyond the classroom
You’ll intern for at least one semester, giving you a valuable opportunity to build your resume while getting hands-on experience applying the skills and knowledge you’ll learn in the classroom. Our location in Wisconsin’s largest city provides a wide range of internship and experiential learning opportunities to help you gain insight into the world of law. 91´«Ã½’s Career Studio, which is connected to more than 2,000 partner sites, can help you find the right internship for you.
You’ll also have a chance to attend workshops, shadow legal professionals, get tips from current law students and network with 91´«Ã½ alumnae working in the legal field.
